Need help with research for book

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I am helping with research for a California based publishing company for a new book Ray Comfort is writing ttp://www.raycomfort.com/home.shtml I was wondering if any of you folk would be willing to help me out. The book is a research project on how the secular non-church going population veiws Christianity and professing Christians in America today. The book will be focusing on the top ten reasons non-churchgoing poeple find Christianity to be offensive.

In an effort to compile this information, I have been asked to interview 10 people and I was hoping I could find ten willing participants on this forum. You only have to answer one question. I will not be responding to or critiquing your comments. Keep in mind that your answers may be published in the book and it is not necessary that your name be used or associatied with your response.

Please note that you must be a non-church going individual who would NOT consider yourself to be a Christian.

I am aware from the hostility that posts of a religious nature have generated on this forum, that there are those who would be able to help me with this research. To avoid, online squabbling over religious matters, which is not my intent, it is my desire that you e-mail me personally if you would like to participate. I do have a limit to how many participants I can accept.

A sincere thank you to any of you who choose to help me on this project.

I'm sure you won't have any problem finding help. Doubt this will cause any contention here again though - how many times can this topic be dredged up and argued over by adults? We'll see.

Hello Tiffani,

I am not a Christian but, out of RESPECT for those here that are, I will not post my reasons in an open forum. If you want me to explain my reasons for not being a Christian you may email me and we will discuss it privately.

Sincerely,

Ernest

Hello Tiffani,

Out of FEAR I will not post my reasons on open forum, which may answer one of your questions.

We've been around the block on this topic for, against, or indifferent so many times I think most of us regulars are tired of talking about it. We're more interested in now maintaining a civil space where we can all discuss homesteading topics.

This is precisely why I requested that people e-mail me directly if they are interested in participating. I have no desire to start a fruitless online squabbling over religious matters.
