On the Canon FD 28-50 macro, does the macro button on the lens suppossed to be pushed up? It goes back after pushed up. Also, Is there a benefit shooting on macro mode without an extension for people, landscape?

Answers

You cannot shoot landscapes with macro. Macro is intended for close up photography. The button will return, but you have to turn the zoom ring while holding the button. When you release the button, the lens will stay in macro mode. You can the use the zoom ring for varying the size.
