This weeks goal

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

I thought I would share my goal this week with you. I took part in the Quilt block swap on the Countryside forum and have a bunch of quilt squares coming to me. However, my sewing room is a mess! I stash too much stuff there! My eight year old daughter seems to be growing overnight-she keeps shooting up, not out. So, I'm going to scroung around in my sewing room, as I'm "cleaning" it out and see what kinds of outfits I can make for her. I'd love to see if I can make her some things without buying any materials or supplies. That way she would get some clothes, and hopefully I could free up some space and work on my quilt squares when they come in with a clear conscience!

Good for you! Let us know how what you end up making.

If you use up all that old material I think your name will make it in the Guensis Book of World Records! You will be the first person to ever actually use up all her old material..LOL! What is with sewing/quilting that we all just keep putting those leftovers in the bin because "someday" I want to make something with these. Isn't it strange that "Someday" never seems to come as quick as we had anticipated it would?????

Oh, Karen I wish I COULD use up all that stuff! I'll be happy to to clear out a little space! Like, maybe find my cutting table....

You could start your daughter on her fabric stash. :-)

"The one who dies with the most fabric wins!"

Friends gave me a cute doodad with that saying and on top had mini bolts of fabric, spools thread, etc. Very cute and so true!

Think I will be the winner, this place is stashed.
