IM or SQ - which do your prefer?

Assuming you have the option of either sub-q or intramuscular injections, which method do you use? Which do you think is easier and does one method have any more potential for slipup than the other?

Always SQ if it is an option. Much easier, and my does just do not have a lot of flesh to stick a needle into, except in the thigh area, where you have to worry about hitting the sciatic nerve, and the neck, where I was always concerned about hitting veins or arteries.

SQ, chances of hitting nerve or injecting directly into blood vessel is impossible with SQ.....I don't think it hurts them as much either..I don't like to hurt my goats..... either way, I rub the area before and after the injection, I don't know if it is true, but I heard there is less chance of a lump forming and staying there.

SQ is much more user friendly. If I can do that, I WILL do that. I am just not a professional at giving shots, although I am becoming much better at it.
