I need infomation and tips on building a straw bale home in the white mountain area of Arizona. The land is raw and is on a small grade or slope. There is no power.

Angela, if you scroll down to the bottom of the current forum questions, there is what is called the archives. It is a listing of categories of topics that have been discussed here. Under "alternative housing" there are numerous discussions of straw bale discussion that might get you started.

Angela, where in Show Low? There is an alternative energy house set up in Snowflake. We heard about it on the DOE's website. Might have some answers for you. Also, there are various books and some videos you can get from the library.
