I understand that the families of victims of the September 11th tragedy will receive an average of $1.85 million. This amount will be in addition to any workman compensation, charity, etc.

I just don't understand.

How much money will the families of men dying on the cold mountains of Afghanistan receive?

Paul,

I know (constitutionally) that the government should not give any private citizen a cent. If private citizens want to donate them money, I don't care how much they get. It is not for me to decide, but the government must stay out of it.

I have heard from survivors of the Oklahoma City bombing saying , where is our money? It isn't fair. What about those at Pearl Harbor? And now some black groups are calling for reparations for slavery. How can we pay for something that happened 150 years ago, and we had nothing to do with? It is truly insane.

The whole idea fo the government solving problems with money was shown to be totally incorrect by the trillions of dollars that were thrown at the problems of Welfare. It solved absolutely nothing. Things are more or less just the same as they were in 1964 when Johnson started The Great Society money give away. The less you did, the more you made. The more illegitimate kids you had the more you made. What is wrong with this picture???????

As soon as people depend on the government to take care of them, that society is on the way out. Is that what we want?????

Talk to you later.
