Forum Info

Okay ... I just wanted to let everyone who visits here know that I'm working on a project to perserve not only this forum, but the forums listed below:

Countryside Cooking and Crafts The Barter Board Country Families

and last but not least, Dairy Goats. If any of you are REALLY interested in information on another forum not listed let me know and I'll take a look.

This project isn't one that I'm working on alone - my brother has high seed internet, so he's doing the downloading and burning the initial CD of each forum. He gets them to me and we are working together to organize the information on each forum, and to get a search engine on each CD so you don't have to stumble around looking for the information you need. The other project we have in the works is combining some or all of the mentioned forums onto one CD with the search engine. But that's further down the road.

What I want to get across to you is that none of the information you've seen on the forums will be lost forever - maybe a few days or a weeks worth, but we plan to stay on top of things as best we can! Hope this brings some sighs of relief! Thanks!

Can't tell by that last post that I'm tired or anything, can you? :-)

Hope you made out the forums we're getting downloaded - if you have any questions, let me know. And if any of you want one of those "high seed internet" thangs, let me know! LOL And by all means, have a good evening!

Thank you!!!!!! for including Country Families. I would hate to lose all of the information on there. I just do not have the skills to do what you are doing.

WOW! Phil, you have been busy! I'd be interested in obtaining a copy of those forum. Will this be on one CD or more? Cost per CD? A big thank-you for all the hard work your doing to keep all this valuable information from disappearing!!!!

Hi all! Pam, what we're hoping the final CD to be (as if there will ever be a final CD) is a compilation of all the good information on those sites on one CD. I'll probably omit some of the chit-chat to save room, but I'm not sure yet. Might just leave everything and let take as many CDs as necessary. At any rate, the forum information will be saved and available!

One other note on this subject - in backing up the forums, I have all the email address of all the contributors. If and when this forum goes down with a final BANG I will send out a mass email letting everyone know where to "meet!" That way we shouldn't be out of touch for more than a little while.

Hope all this ramblin' helps! Have a great day filled with all the smiles and sunshine possible!
