what is the difference between the EOS Rebel 2000 QD and the regular Rebel 2000?, or is there no difference.

The QD has a date back that can imprint the date or time on a photo. It looks like an old digital watch display on the back of the camera. It displays date and/or time on the negative. It wrecks the photo, IMO. If the function is useful for your purposes, then get it. If not, skip it.

I had a rebel 2000 and when I was reading the manual I saw qd model which means it has a date back that puts the date on the photo. I sold mine and got the qd because I was photographing my baby daughter who was 6 weeks old at the time and already was losing track of when I took the picture. I had to go back to the date on the package from the photo lab. I have personnally found the date woderful to have on the front which means no guessing. And if you don't like it just turn it off. I highly recommend it if using it the way I use it.
