Prayer Requests for this week...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Hi everyone, it has been a long week I think. Please feel free to add your prayer requests here for the week. I know that many are praying over this list. I keep you all in my prayers whenever possible. It has become truly like a family here over the last few months.

Please continue to hold my grandmother in your prayers. She is still feeling poorly, and her depression keeps its' awful hold on her. Thank you. One of my neighbors mother is suffering from brain cancer and is in need of prayer for the family also.

Please add your requests below.

One of my former students, Thomas, has a horrible kind of cancer in his abdomen. He is only 20 years old. This is a VERY rare and virulent cancer, but it has responded somewhat to chemo. Thomas is tall and strikingly handsome and gifted artistically. He glows with love and holiness now, even while in pain. Pray for him and his family. Pray for a miracle.

A while ago I asked you to pray for a friend of mine 29 with lymphoma - wife & 2 small boys.

I have a praise to report!

His insurance co. denied payment for an upcoming surgery - it was out of their network - my friends appealed the decision & the decision was reversed! The bill will be paid 100%!

God is faithful.

My husbands shoulder surgery went well on Monday. He was recovering at home fine until Friday evening when he became very dizzy and had a terrible stomach ache. We thought it was a reaction to the pain meds he was on or the antibiotic. He stopped all that but still thought he was going to die on Saturday. I was talking to a friend and he thought it sounded like the flu that he just got over. We think that is what it was, for today (Sunday) he is doing much better. His shoulder is feeling fine although still in the immobilizer for a month. So we are so thankful he is feeling better. Keep praying the Lord will supply all our needs during this time of not working. I'll give the update on our missionary friend run over by the trash truck as soon as I can get an update myself. I forgot to ask at church this morning and the pastor didn't say anything from the pulpit.

Please pray for our family as we make some tough decisions about our grandmother. She is 88 and fell and broke her arm. We are very thankful that it wasn't her hip. We are butting heads with other family members as we try to decide what is best for her regarding a new place to live and figuring out what she is actually capable of doing. This is most stressful on my mother (gramma's daughter). My mom has early stages of Alzheimer's and we have seen her disease accelerate in the past 2 weeks because of this added stress. Thank you.
