In Coastal Texas, early March is usually warm. Farmers have corn coming up, and we gardeners have tomatoes blooming. NOT TODAY!!

I spent the day outside in my insulated coveralls (over jeans, two shirts) stocking cap, ear warmers, and gloves, moving hay for the cows, finishing the pump house so I don't have to deal with frozen pipes, covering the citrus trees, insulating pipes, etc. It is supposed to get down to 27 here tonight.

The wind has been blowing 40 mph all day and INCREASED as the sun went down. Considering it was 80 degrees a week ago, this is the ODDEST weather we have ever had. You certainly couldn't prove global warming by our weather, that's for sure.

Oh, Rose, it was 75* here earlier in the week, and overnight it snowed and we have 19* with a 1* wind chill today. It is blowing so hard your hands will feel frozen after being out for about 5 seconds! The weatherman said forget the Lion, this is a dragon!

When I got up, It was 2.5 degrees here in SE Kansas.I have a couple of does who are due to kid today and tomorrow.... I've got them bedded deep in a cozy place and i am hoping for the best

I knew it was you posting a response from the temps, even before I saw your name!! It is frigid here in NW Arkansas and snow is about 4 - 5 inches deep!! No church today, because it iced for about an hour before the snow started, so roads are terrible. My husband flew out this morning to Virginia, and just called from Atlanta. It is 50 degrees and sunny there!! Oh well, they'll probably get it soon. Have a fun, snowy day.

Hey Ardie, ours just started!!! It rained all night and I have a small stream flowing through the aisle of my goat barn (for once I am deeply grateful I DIDN'T muck out the stalls cause the girls are up high and dry) Now the wind is howling and you can't see the woods cause it is a major white out. Spring, spring..........just can't wait.
