Zeiss Ikon nettar

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

I recently came into possesion of a Zeiss Ikon camera that has some conflicting characteristics. The exterior of the back is embossed "Nettar 515" and on the other end a serial number "E72155". The back has 2 windows for film counter, both open with the same slide. On the inside of the back the metal is embossed with "Zeiss Ikon Film 6x9cm B2 2 1/4x3 1/4 in". However, the pressure plate is only 6x6cm and the format of the camera frame, bellows etc. is 4.5x6 cm. The lens is a Nettar anasticmatic f4.5 to f22 and labled Telma Zeiss Ikon. What puzzles me is the conflict concerning the format. It almost appears as though the back and pressure plates are from other cameras. Is this possible? Can anyone clear this up for me?

David it seems to me you have a Nettar that takes 16 exposures on a 120 film. Once you load the film wind on until the no one appears in the first window, then take your shot, then wind on until the no one appears in the second window ready to take the second shot. Do this until all 16 pictures are exposed.
