Special Prayer Request

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I wanted to get this on quickly, and be sure everyone would see it. Lance's aunt called this evening, to tell us about his cousin's father-in-law.

He passed out today, sometime between 11 and 3, and fell on a floor furnace. They don't know how long he was there, but completely burned off one foot, nearly burned off the other, and laid there so long (on his back) that his buttocks fused together. They have serious doubts that he will make it though the night, but if he does make it, they will have to remove both legs at the hip.

His son (cousin's husband) asks that we pray only that if it is his time, he be taken quickly, and not suffer, as his mother (they were divorced) died with cancer only about a year ago, and suffered terribly for a long time. He doesn't want that for his dad.

Thank you, and pray for the son as well. He has not been terribly close to his father, but is an only child and really has only his wife's family (us) to share this with.

I'll post to my own thread. Just as I submitted this, my mother-in- law called with news that he has passed away. Please pray for his son, and our cousin also, because this will be quite a shock.

How terrible Christine, what a horrible, awful tragedy. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers. Makes our troubles seem very small indeed to hear stories like this.

Chritine, I am praying for his son.
