Herbal Formula for Mother-to-Be

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Style Homesteading : One Thread

I have a program on herbs and their uses that I've been looking through recently, and think it bears sharing with everyone here. So what I'm gion to do is post one or two items a day that I'm sure you'll find interesting and maybe helpful. If you have questions about specific herbs and/or their uses let me know and I'll look it up if I have it.

This is a herbal formula

Name: Mother-to-be Tea

Uses: Postpartum Swelling, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Morning Sickness

Comments: 2 tsp. Raspberry leaf 1 tsp. Black Haw bark 1 tsp. Dandelion leaf 1 tsp. Peppermint leaf 2 thin slices fresh, peeled Ginger root 4 cups water

Boil the water. Poor the water over the herbs in a tea pot. Allow the tea to steep for 15 minutes. Strain off the herbs. Drink 3-4 cups throughout the day.
