cibc/hmc/abbey national/davis and co/success : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

I have today been fortunate enough to receive a letter saying that the above have abandoned their claim.Repo was 1990(over 12 years) but I had made payments within the final 2 years.I do not know if anyone can learn anything from what was a typically complicated case but i hope so.With lots of help and ideas from this site and Carol at the NAMV we have had a weight lifted from our shoulders but I will never forget what they have put us through unnecessarily and will continue to ask why on earthe are they being alowed to do this? The fight goes on and good luck to everyone.

Well done Dan, your an insperation to us all just shows with tenacity and staying power the 'leaches' can be beaten. Your experiences a valuable resourse for this site in both a practical way and also as a reason to keep fighting. Please stay around and help motivate those of us who havent finished our own claims yet. Once again congratulations

Good luck Dan. What a relief it must be to have your life back and not wake up every moring wondering what mail is on the doormat to make your day. I know the last thing you probably want to do is keep reliving the experience but I am sure that your experiences would be invaluable to those who are still fighting and those who haven't even started yet!

Good Luck Andrew.

Wonderful news Dan!! I'll bet the sun is shining in your life today.

Your question about why they are allowed to do it - well I suspect that the vested interest of more than one party may be playing a driving part in their tactics.Where money is concerned there are those who have no decent standards at all. Unfortunately people like us judge the 'pursuers' by our own standards and that is our big mistake.

The best weapon we can have in this 'war' we're engaged in is KNOWLEDGE. Every shared piece of info. or experience is invaluable. Like Paul Getty said - he would rather have the benefit of 1% of one one hundred people's efforts than 100% of his own efforts.

Enjoy your life now Dan, and keep in touch with us if you can.

And all in just 21 days. Marvellous.

That's great news Dan,

I'd love to add the letter to my files. If you have access to a scanner please feel free to email it to me.

Well done.

Great news and well done!

Please stick around to help the rest of us. Like you, our repo was in 1990 and we have also made payments but stopped. We may need to pick your brains! In the meantime your posting has encouraged us to fight on so thanks for that.

All the best and enjoy your new found freedom.

Many congratulations Dan, it is so fantastic to see a success story. I hope that you have a happy life now that this situation is over and done with. It must be a brilliant feeling to have won.

This obviously isn't my real name, however, I am so pleased to read your news, maybe I will be next to get the same result, best of luck for the future and I hope you win the lottery now!

I only found this site today - after 5 years of hassle from the Shabby National, I've decided it's time to fight back. Please give me as much information as possible on your case, so that I can go into battle well armed.

Congratulations, Di.
