I went into their website and this zoom still does not have a price. It doesn't sound like it's in stock yet. I called them but could only get a recording as they were too busy. They are open again Sunday and will try them again then. Looks like we have six or so forum memebers interested, so I will post availability and price here.

I spoke with Delta and they said that they do not have a delivery date yet for this lens. I suspect it will arrive soon since the 75AL is available and both were announced at the same time.

They don't have it in yet as of late yesterday. Delta is still planning to stock this lens and I for one am willing to wait, as the price will be a good one. Will keep all informed.

I spoke with Betty about the availability and price of this lens and she said that there is only one lens arriving in ten days at the price of $1007. It is a preliminary shipment and she said to contact her in two weeks about a special price for the our forum. If we do get a price break, it will probably be in the neighborhood of $975 but it is not a sure thing yet. Patience may save us some serious money over the common price ($1200). I for one am willing to wait.

The Delta website is saying Mar 23 as the day when they expect the lenses in. I will be in touch with Betty and keep all informed as to availability and price.

The latest is that Delta will wait until they can get a better price from Japan on this lens. Not sure when they will get it in. So, I will understand if memebers want to purchase this lens elsewhere. I am going to wait them out.

I am no expert on Delta, but I spent last month in the U.S. and never did find a dealer with this lens in stock. Yes, it is on the websites of B&H and Adorama and the like in NY, and even places in PN and the West coast (if you need to avoid NY sales tax), but they don't have the lens in stock. At least three places told me they have never had the lens in stock, and just assumed distribution was delayed. Maybe there is another problem involved? I still haven't seen any analysis of the lens in a magazine, though some places show a picture and tell you the basic specs - but that is about it. I too noticed it didn't appear on the Delta site when I looked, but that was 30-60 days ago.
