I am in the process of sewing denium jumpers for two of my daughters. The bodice is lined. My question: Should I line the bodice in the same denium fabric or in another lighter weight fabric such as broadcloth or what?? I'm concerned that the denium maybe too heavy. Your thoughts? Thank you!

When I make jumpers or bib overalls for the grandkids I use a lighter weight plaid for the boys items and a print for the girls. I also make pockets out of the same colorful material.

Grannytoo: Thank you for that wonderful idea! I was planning on making a pair of bloomers to go under it and will try to get a quiet, navy textured print to serve both purposes. Thank you again:) The girls were given jumpers with matching bloomers from Lilies of the Field for Christmas and absolutely love their bloomers. I was pleasantly surprised and going to continue the idea.

My grandkids love the colorful trim on their clothes. I often make little shirts/blouses for them out of the plaid or floral fabric.
