Where can I get a converter to convert avi-files to mpg2-files. (not mpg1).

www.vcdhelp.com has guides on how to do this kind of conversion. You might want to use TMPGenc (www.tmpgenc.net). Look at the guide to converting AVI to SVCD using TMPGenc.

If you've got "Adobe Premiere", how about using the plug-in named "PixelTools DVD Exporter"? It can convert your video to MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VCD, DVD...etc. Another s/w I use is "Media Cleaner".

MediaCleaner is overhyped, expensive, and the quality of MPEGs it produces are not nearly as good as those by TMPGenc.
