Re: the Ozark meeting - Spring Planting Festival in Mansfield and Laura Ingalls Wilder

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Called my Mom the other day to see if she wanted to go and she said that Mansfield is the home of one of Laura Ingalls Wilder's adult homes. Does anyone know anymore about this? Is it going to be "visitable" while we're there?

I think the Wilder house opens in April and yes it is a lovely place to visit. They now have the house that her daughter built for them open and you can tour through it too.

I have been there several times and would go back again they also havae a gift shop with items that are not available elsewhere. Sally

There is a book all about this home and homestead. Laura wrote it but I can't recall the name. I believe it's titled "Little House In The Ozarks.

When and where is everyone planning to meet? I read an earlier posting about getting all of the Ozarks together and I would like to attend. I am just building my new homestead in Cedarcreek, MO.
