John, Why do you always ride the north end of a south bound mule ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

You know John, it isn't always real funny to try to promote conflict. Somedays it just plain pitiful. When people are trying to build bridges and overcome injustices than maybe just once you might refrain from all your negativity. I'm not going to fight with you. You had multiple problems with Ken also in the good ole days. You switch sides just to have conflict --what gives with you ? I don't think you have a side, now do you ? You post everything you write on both boards and have a different opinion on each. Help me understand. Is it just the sake of arguement ? If it is-just say so. I'll let you have your space because, I really lack the time for games.

Joel, some things just are as they are. I, personally, am becoming very interested in the whole Chemtrail phenomenon as I witness it daily. However, I refrain from posting here on the subject since John takes the time to doubt every time. Basically he has called me a liar and an idiot so I just don't deal with him. Let it go, Joel. Just ignore him like you would any contrary toddler and maybe he'll get the hint. (Probably not.) peace.

-- gilly (wayoutfarm@skybest.com), February 21, 2002.

I think you're talking about different Johns.

-- Doreen (bisquit@here.com), February 21, 2002.

Joel, please say it's not me.

-- John in S. IN (jdoofus@hotmail.com), February 21, 2002.

I imagine he's talking to me. Be more specific Joel. You say "john" had multiple problems with Ken. When? I don't remember that. I didn't always agree with what Ken did and believe he over reacted at times but who of us hasn't? I just try to avoid the mountains outa molehills thing.

As to stirring up conflict? That's kinda like the pot calling the kettle black coming from you Joel. Its true, I often post the same message on more than one board due to the different audiences but changing my opinion on each? Specifics Joel?

I endeavor to be objective and fair minded so the taking of sides becomes difficult because I'm often sympathetic to components of each side of an argument. Sometimes I'll see and agree with one sides POV and other times, the other sides. I don't find a problem with that. In fact I like to think its an exercise in freedom of thought, not being "locked in" to any specific doctrine or cause because there are none without their philosophical flaws and weaknesses.

It seems you too change your spots on occassion. In the second or third post you made here on FSR you were coaching Rags on how to be disruptive on CS then the following week you were all sweetness and light. What gives? Has it become a wolf in sheeps clothing kinda thing?

It isn't necessary to blow out the other fellow's light in order to let your own light shine. "That there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another." I Corinthians 12:25 Just my 2 cents worth. In His Grace, Sissy

John, before you go getting me blamed for anything I want to point out right here and now that I HAVE NOT POSTED ON THE CS FORUM SINCE I CANCELLED MY SUBSCRIPTION.

And, furthermore, hell will freeze and pigs will fly before I post there again. Freedom robbers and Christ haters do not need me around nor do I need them.

I would also like to point something out to you, John: Beyond the Sidewalks is password protected; Freedom and Self Reliance is not. If leftists want to come snipe here they can, but then they can run hide in their little password protected clubhouse. I don't NEED to post on the other forums--my friends are HERE.

As far as I am concerned you are as welcome to post here as anybody else. You have as much right to your beliefs as anybody else as well. So does Joel. And at least on Doreen's forum, so do I.

-- Rags (nobody@nowhere.org), February 21, 2002.

Point taken, John. I do wear my sheep till the wolf is needed ! I viewed it more as fight, suffer, win and than heal. You seemed to project that they just got tired. Yep, tired of losing money when they ticked off their subscribers ! You seemed to belittle their suffrages than in other places you praise objective wars to shore up ideals. I'm not telling you how to live. I was just suggesting that siding with me on one point than blasting me on another is rather confusing. Like all the people around me ---I just say, your either with me or against me--pick a side, either side it does not matter which. Their is never any middle ground for me. So you know where I stand it this--I started a plea for free speech, the troops carried the battle to Countryside by Boycott, they won a decisive victory to remove the dictator and Countryside forum became collateral damage. And now we urge the conflict to cease and the wounds to heal. That is my position. As far as urging Rags--no, I said it was possible I did not tell him to do it. I once said Planes make the best of weapons but I did not urge anyone to fly them into buildings. In the end--I see it my way and someone else sees it theirs and that is allright but you riding the fence ? Now that is a problem ! To clarify the John I was speaking to--John(nativele?) ppcros. Forgive my memory, I'm getting old ! We knew who we were anyway.

Did someone call my name?

-- john hill (john@cnd.co.nz), February 21, 2002.

Oh guys....why harp at one another? If john does not agree with alot of what the rest of the folks believe, so what????? I often do not agree on many things that you guys do, but I do not think either of you would beat me up for it...would ya????? LOL.Joel, my old friend, please re-think your statement of with or against you with no middle ground.....I'm just a middle-aged old gal..harmless unless somebody comes along who wants to try my home security plan..I frequently disagree with ideas of yours (and others), and at the same time heartily concur with you (and others). My goodness, MOST of you folks do not agree with my ideas and yet we do not descend into hatefullness over it. I sure get depressed reading such rhetoric ( I know, so don't read it)...can't you men sort of shake hands and agree on something?????????? Pretty please? Life is just too confounded short to spend time quibbling over ideologies. There! I've had my say.

-- lesley (martchas@bellsouth.net), February 21, 2002.

Rags: You misunderstand. I was referring to your "A few positive points" or something like that, thread you posted here on FSR a coupla weeks ago. Later in that thread Joel made a coupla suggestions on how you might be disruptive there. Thats what I was talking about.

Joel: I understand how you could be confused. On CS, the thread that started this one, I called it the way I see it. If I'm mistaken so be it. Like I said there, time will tell.

Gilly: Refresh my memory. I don't remember ever discussing anything with you, let alone calling ANYONE an idiot, tho to confess I've been tempted a few times, just as I'm sure others have been tempted to call me one.

Just like you folks I reserve the right to think for myself and to speak my mind. If we don't agree, so be it. No big deal I guess.

And thank you Lesley. Although we fervently disagree about religious matters I've always appreciated your reasonable and moderate approach to things.

-- john (natlivent@pcpros.net), February 21, 2002.

John, I suspect Gilly was actually meaning me as I do recall responding to her regarding chemtrails. I been looking for the thread so see what I said to get her so upset but I not found it yet. I am sure I did not use the 'idiot' word though.

-- john hill (john@cnd.co.nz), February 21, 2002.

Neither would I have called anyone a liar.

-- john hill (john@cnd.co.nz), February 21, 2002.

John...Hill. The "idiot" was implied. As was the liar. And my wife will assure you that this idiotic liar has a penis...

Good news, John...Hill. I didn't hallucinate any nonexistant chemtrails today!! And no nonexistant nose-bleed either! Mr. (Natlivent?), deepest apologies. As far as I know you've never called me anything. Certainly not a woman.....ahahahahahahaaaaa....have a nice day, all.

-- gilly (wayoutfarm@skybest.com), February 21, 2002.

you guys are incredibly entertaining!

-- Tana Mc (mcfarm@totelcsi.net), February 21, 2002.

I guess I might have been having a bad day. But I'm not really seeing any of the kind of admiration that you people deserve for winning a hard fought battle. You people won this thing--I wasn't even on line for any of the boycott. All I am seeing is "poor Countryside" they didn't deserve that. The freedom lovers and Religious right had no right to that. So guess I'm just gonna have to do it myself than shut up.-- I'm glad you beat them into submission. I hope you do it everytime you see any kind of tyrant raise his head. Never buy their suggestion that free speech does not apply here. Shoot the one that says that first (literally if possible figuritivly if you don't have a good shot at the moment or it is against some personal belief you have.) Always remember what you accomplished this year and I'm so very, very proud of all of you that participated in bringing the tyrants to their knees. Great Job, now prepare for the next one. This only applies to me and my mindset--Things are either black or white, right or wrong, up or down, free or enslaved there are no other options available to choose from ! End of Rant !

-- Joel Rosen (JoelnBecky@webtv.net), February 22, 2002.

Hahahahaha.......you are sooooo funny....um, what's your name again, oh yeah...Joel.....LOL LOL....

What boycott? In your dreams dearie!! Number of posts DOUBLED after you self-absorbed BOORS took off; get over yourself honey.....your back is broke for a reason! It's sick and tired and bored of carrying you around all these many years!

So something constructive for once in your life....get off the internet!!

"bringing the tyrants to their knees"......hahahahah...you are soooo funny!!

I REGRET THAT I HAD BUT ONE SUBSCRIPTION TO CANCEL!

-- Patriot (Nathan Fail@Freedom.com), February 22, 2002.

Uh...Aspen???? That is very unlike your usual self, and I suggest that the ethers (or whatever you like to think 'it' is) may be seriously disrupted by your lack of care and your harboring of ill will and perhaps you will stub your toe. Don't worry, I won't out you, but I can't believe how petty that was. Disappointed.

Joel, it was never my desire to destroy Cside. I just couldn't support them any longer because they showed their true colors, and I didn't care for them. This whole thing doesn't make me feel happy, but I am actually quite glad that the archives will be preserved. And yes, there isn't a whole lot that is a grey area anymore. Brush off Aspen, I am pleased to have you back online!

-- Doreen (bisquit@here.com), February 22, 2002.

'their true colors' I'd say betrayal and manipulation are very ugly shades. Joel I wouldn't follow you to the ends of the earth, but I do like to see what you have to say on any given subject. You have a way of putting things. And your track record is good. At least in one area. I like your approach much better than the 'salesman' type. Manipulation, whether it be of words or facts is such a terrible form of betrayal.

-- Cindy (SE. IN) (atilrthehony@hotmail.com), February 22, 2002.

I'm sorry, but this totally and utterly giggles me. There is this one person leaping around from board to board with hatred in it's heart. The thing is, the only purpose they are serving is to make themselves look small and insignificant. The funny thing is, they are having no effect except to make me more determined to go where I want when I want. I'll bet Joel is feeling the same way. I think this individual is the one who has both been pestering my posts and his. Aspen has got to be female though. When is the last time you heard a man call another man "dearie".

Little Bit Farm

-- Little bit Farm (littlebit@farm.com), February 22, 2002.

It was never my purpose to have Countryside cut tail and run either. I was just holding up the mirror so they could actually see themselves. Quite frankly, that board is a bit overwhelming for me. Either I am getting old or slow , maybe both. I am finding out rather quickly that I prefer it here. Maybe it is all my old friends, or most.( sheepish ? lost ? ) Possibly it is the size and/or the content. But what I really think-- it is the exchanges like John and I just had --like Why ? because; that confuses me; OK, time will tell with a lot of things thrown in for examples ! I call that dialect maybe I'm wrong.

Don't worry Doreen---Aspen went in one ear and out the other. I would have had to quit living in preshool if I let that get to me. I have heard that my whole life.

Like always I will root for the underdog. I think you should all give Chuck a chance if you choose to write on both boards, which is how this whole thread started ( my attempt at Countryside to give him a chance). Anyway, you are much more likely to find me here enjoying rants, raves, and oratary on society's encroachment on freedom. I meant to say homesteading but the words are interchangable no matter what context you use them in anyway !
