At our fair (Brown County, WI), the junior entries need to sign up early in the summer for each class of bird they will be showing. They do not have to pick a certain bird until the fair. The open class has until a week or two before the fair to sign up. The only other requirement is the birds need to be from a Pollorum free hatchery or you need to get them tested.

Drew, you will find a forum at this addy www.poultryconnection.com where there are many people who show chickens. When you go to this address click on the "Exhibition Forum" and you will get lots of help from judges and exhibitors. Good luck and come back and tell us how you did, And what breeds you are showing. By the way, no, you do not need to register poultry to show them. LQ
