My Leeds supporting friend just sent me this David O'Bleary quote off Soccernet re Bowyer:

'It would be a massive kick in the teeth for the chairman, myself and the Leeds fans, who have supported him so wholeheartedly, if he ended up not signing this new contract,' O'Leary added in The Sun.

Ciara, a quick question about the makem game on sunda. Setanta have it advertised as being shown at 10am eastern time, is this what your information tells you or not. Does that mean that they won't be showing it live, only on tape delay??

Argh! The pubs in DC had it down as a 9am start(though I haven't checked in a few days). Why can't they just flippin show it live? Grumblemoanwhinge. Guess I'll have to check the pub schedules again if the time has been changed. At least a 2hr delay means I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. ;-)

ooo....now the pub is showing an 11am start! Hmmmm....if it's on ppv, I can sleep in really late AND stay home. Staying off the net to avoid the result could be a real b*gger though. ;-)

my fear is the bars have it wrong, I am going to email setanta and find out what the scoop is.

Just heard back from Setanta and they have confirmed it is being shown as a tape delay.

Talking of unfortunate choices of words, Craig Bellamy referred to "everyone sticking the boot in" last week...

Fox Sports World (Canada) is showing it live on regular cable. Start time 0600 Mountain Time. Setanta have it tape delayed in the bars.

Ciara - have you tried the British Embassey in DC to see if they've got it live? There's a bar around the back of the main building - I had to pay $5 membership when I was there about 4 years ago. The beer was cheap and bearing in mind it was TDM first game the scousers were bearable.

Dougal, at least Bellamy hasn't said anything about people running their gobs. yet. ;-))

Scratchy, the Embassy is on the same feed as the other pubs, so will also be on tape delay. I've quit going there for now because with new security restrictions, location, and their fee structure it's more hassle and expense than the other places in the area.
