TMPGnc message error

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi! When i use TMPGnc to convert avi2mpeg i get an error message after 70%that says "Illegal floating decimal point calculation order". What does that mean? Or does anybody know a forum for this kind of questions?

/Patrik

I rarely use TMPGenc, but I have seen this error mentioned. By any chance does the AVI file have 48 KHz audio? TMPGenc is known to choke on 48 KHz audio during encodes, so you might try only encoding the video if that's the case. There's a TMPGenc forum at www.doom9.net. Click on Links to find a link to the forum. You could also try asking the question at the SVCD forum at network54.com/Hide/Forum/70438.

I have now tried to encode only in video (without sound)as u said but it didn`t help ,the same message came up. Maybe you can recommand other avi2mpg program with good quality result?

Hi, Patrik:

How 'bout trying to use "Panasonic MPEG-1 Encoder"(Better Quality) or "Xing MPEG Encoder"(Faster Speed) to encode your AVI file? Hope this helps.
