A few post down someone asked "Cages or Stakes" for tomatos. Someone posted they use cattle panels in a upside down U-shape which I think is a very good ideal. The thing is that I have always grown a bush type tomato and would like to try the U-shaped panels. What are some names of a vine tomato that I could use on my panels? Is a arkansas traveler a vine type? Also I would like to stay away from any early type as I always have badluck with blossom end rot.

I love all Cherry tomatoes and many of them are "indeterminant"(?) vines. The golden pear tomatoes are especially good. I know you will get lots of good suggestions. LQ

r.h, arkansas traveler would do well on the panels. It's a indeterminate type( grows taller than a bush type tomato). I grew them here in east Tenn. and they were one of my favorites. No diseases and an abundant producer.

Better Boys do real well here in southern Kansas. they are a main crop with big tomatoes and vine all over the place. The bent cattle panels sound pretty good, I will give it a try, thanks
