How were your "cupid day" festivities ?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread

Actually had two outings yesterday. First I ran into a girl I went to school with and we went to Sportsmans Lake in Cullman to feed the ducks, then drove into Blount Co. for lunch. At 8:30 I met with my scheduled date for a late dinner and a night at the pool hall bar. We beat two guys in team 8-ball eleven games straight. I can truthfully say it was the best V day I had in about 3 years. And the icing on the cake was that the official decree came in the mail yesterday, I am a card carrying bachelor again.

Well Jay, I gotta say you came back into the marketplace in style! Won't tell you what we used to call GIRLS that had two dates in one night....

Feeding the ducks sounds like fun - did I hear you say cheesecake for desseert?!

Jay you got me to wonderin' what I did with my card?? thankfully it's been lost for a lot of years! May I suggest that you give it a short quick look and place it way in the back of the file cabinet and then go feed the ducks again!

There can be life after D......

It was enjoyable, but I'm still gun shy. I did get a laugh out of how much Karen and I had matured since high school though.

I think I may frame my bachelor permit and put it on the wall for awhile, lest I have a memory lapse and forget in the near future :>)

Jay, Your a glutton for punishment to do that! But if you do that put a shelf just below it with a big jar of TUMS!

Spent the evening, night and into the next morning with a horse in a barn. Covered myself with a wool blanket and sat for hours on a straw bale. Just watchin' to see if a foal appeared. It didn't. Only man around was too married, too old, too drunk and too sleepy for me. Story of my life. :)

Well... my sweetie gave me a 10 gallon sized fig tree which we will plant next weekend now that I have figured out where I want it. By the time I fought the traffic to get to the country, I was too exhausted to cook, but the next evening I did make a special meal of shrimp scampi on linguine, great garlic bread and we watched some of the Olympic events. In between we kept checking on the goats which have begun to kid. That durn Angora Billy that jumped the fence awhile back has begun to leave his calling card. These last two kids are part Angora. He had his Valentine Day early :)
