Regeneration of frogs in Aristotle

greenspun.com : LUSENET : History & Theory of Psychology : One Thread

I read somewhere that Aristotle believed that frogs regenerated from the mud each sping. A couple of folks have told me that the frog example does not appear in Aristotle's work. I cannot find the source of my apparent misinformation. Any help would be appreciated.

The above link features a translations of Historia Animalium in which you'll find the "mud" as a source of spontaneous generation in Ch. 11.
