Hey Mr Owl! I just read your reply to Jonathan, whichwas really informative. I have another thread going and i am embarrassed to put too much bulk into what is essentially the other side of my choices. I have an MZ5n I like the traditional layout etc, but have a bit of an issue with lenses, presently under discussion in the other thread, 'Sigma lenses/pentax cameras'.

I have an absurd collection of cameras at the momnent made of Pentax and Nikkon. I have a Nikkormat and some prime lenses for it. As well as an MEsuper and some nice old Takumars. If i cant find what i want for the Pentax perhaps I might sell off this half of the 'collection' and go back to Nikon???

Do Nikon make a similar sort of camera to the MZ5n?

And, Looking at the Nikon website their technical specs are a bit woeful. Any idea of the quality of the 24- 120 F3.5-4.5? the site says it has 2 asph element groups while the info for the 24 - 85 F/2.8 has zip! Do you know anything about these two? Or do you think that even with Nikon the inclusion of a 24 is stretching things a bit?

I have a 24 prime, nikon mount, not a nikorr, I lost my Nikkor 24 with my first Nikkormat (and a a lovely 50mm F1.2!!!!) and like you like this size very much and have missed it with my present 'outfit'

So am trying to find some way to sort things out. A
