If I Needed You by Townes Van ZandtIf I needed you Would you come to me Would you come to me And ease my pain If you needed me I would come to you I would swim the seas For to ease your pain
In the night Forlorn The morning’s born The morning shines With the lights of love You will miss sunrise If you close your eyes And that would break My heart in two
Lady’s with me now Since I showed her how To lay her lily Hand in mine Loop and lil agree She’s a sight to see And a treasure for The poor to find
If I needed you Would you come to me Would you come to me And ease my pain If you needed me I would come to I would swim the seas For to ease your pain

I like it. Heres something I came up with. The One True Love
As I rode down from the high pastures, I trotted past a homestead that I didn't recall from the year before. A handsome young woman working the kitchen garden, looked up as I rode past and brushed the dirty blonde hair sensually from her eyes. Our eyes locked for the distance of a 30 foot trot, I found myself swimming in the hazel pools that held my essence tightly. As the gaze of those hazel eyes released me , I noticed her petitely curved figure in full beauty as the morning sun pierced its hard rays through the light fabric of her sun dress. Ten more feet and I straightened in the saddle and set my gaze on the horizion. Feeling an odd sense of satisfaction and ease come over me, I pulled the "Bull Durham" and fixings from my breast pocket and rolled a smoke. As I rode on, I drew the smoke deep within my lungs, knowing I had just met and lost the love I would compare all to for the rest of my days, never to return to this spot again for fear that reality couldn't measure to the dream that grew in the distance of 40 feet.
( I have to stop reading those damn romance novels I keep finding around my house :>)
Happy Valentines Day
