I am trying to find some information on the history and evolution of guidance couseling in jr. high, middle, or sr. high schools. Who started the guidance couseling idea and how did it develop. I know that its first focus was on education after graduation, but it soon added psychological couseling. If you could give me as much info as you can its appreciated. Point me in any direction of books, articles, or websites. Thanks
