I just read this message at our back-up site. I had not checked it for a while, and I am so sorry I missed this message. I thought I would move it here. I hope your wife is doing OK j.r. Let us know how she is. ******************************************************************** MESSAGE FROM j.r.

"Well, I have been REALLY busy since this past weekend. My poor wife broke her ankle, and is down. She is a little past seven months preganant, and our three year old son decided this would be a good time to get a double ear infection. I'm running from crisis to crisis, trying to get it all done. My wife hates dependency on anybody, and humor right now is lost on her. She's relearning how to work crutches, and she rented a wheelchair so she can go back to work and teach her kids. Administration was kind of leery about letting her come back. I guess they are afraid someone will knock my wife down and hurt her. I guess they might be held liable for her injuries. It was a freak accident how it happened. We were going to a museum exhibit / fundraiser, and had to park in a parking lot for the county courthouse. I loaded my son onto my back in one of those child backpacks. We began walking away, my wife was adjusting my sons legs in the backpack, when she stepped on the edge of one of the many potholes on the parking lot. She was behind me, so I didn't see the fall; I just heard a noise, turned around and saw my wife on the floor. She had tears in her eyes; we both new it was serious. She is really pain tolerant, and won't cry for any little deal. We took her to the emergency room and confirmed what we suspected, broken ankle. The three year old is responding to the meds, but he misses Mom attention. How does that song go ? . . . GLOOM . . . DESPAIR . . . AGONY ON ME . . . LOL What happened at Lucenet? Did it finally bite the dust? Hope not, some of my favorite websites are there."

Melissa, Journey had a double ear infection, too. She's doing better now, but she ware ereally miserable. Melinda missed a lot of work over it.

How terrible! I hope she's getting along alright. I'm assuming since you didn't mention it, the baby wasn't hurt? Hope she's feeling better.

Maybe if we all send her good wishes and smiles, you can show them to her and boost her spirits some. Here's mine! ;-)

Thank you Melissa, for inserting my post on the backup site.

Our company internet router decided to die on us Thursday afternoon, so this is the first chance I get to come back here.

Update. My wife is doing better, at least mentally. Her humor is returning, but she still gets frustrated at being unable to do simple tasks (can't do them while balancing on crutches). Her school work is doing very well, her only trouble is opening doors when no one else is around, and that takes some time to clear the door.

She seems to be coming along physically too, keeping her ankle elevated. She was told by the doctor to take care of it, to help prevent long term damage occuring. My son beat the ear infection pretty handily, and is back to his mischevious old self. And I am getting used to handling all of the day to day tasks; good training for D-Day (March 21 or thereabouts). We're surviving okay; thanks for the interest. And I hope the others who are sick are getting better also.

I am glad she and the baby are OK. I hope her ankle is healed before the baby is born.
