Threading some "sergers" can be difficult at best but if you use the "blue dental floss loops" the job will be easier due to the flexibility of the dental floss loop. (These may come in different colors but all I have seen are blue and will make it easier for you to find in the dental floss area of the store.) The ones I purchased came in a thin clear box.

Put thread thru the loop and point end thru hole where you want the thread to go. Pull thru and viola, thread is thru the looper.
