Go to http://www.metropolis-records.com and check out a artist by the name Xorcist. His real name is listed as Peter Stone and among his accomplishments it says he worked on Aeon Flux. I don't know if this has been answered before but does anyone know how this musician was involved with Aeon?

Anyhow, what is really interesting is that they have all this great Trance music, and one of Juno's songs has a bit with Art Bell on it, which was very cool.

Love Enigma so I will check out Delirium thankyou. David Bowie is on live on A& E, now (it's Sat night) for any who want to see the first choice for Trevor's voice, (John Lee of course ended up owning it), but heck Bowie's magic. Hope he does Wild is the Wind, (think Aeon in Trevor's arms), (Demiurge; last scene).

Peter Stone assisted Drew Neumann with recording and mostly technical support (and I think some musical performance) on the first season Liquid T.V. shorts back in 1990. (I hope this is accurate-- it seems like such a long time ago...)

Implode was great. Have you checked out Epitaph yet? I think its even better then Implode! There are some great tracks on it like Dead Planet and Everything Must Perish just to name a few.

Yeah, Epitaph was pretty cool. The first time I heard it, I thought "this is incredibly overproduced". It does grow on you, though. I'm partial to Isolence and Existence.

Man, Bill Leeb has his finger in a LOT of pies -- techno, ambient, D&B, triphop, worldbeat... I'd go broke if I had to buy all his productions. A truly hyperactive individual. Some of his darker stuff actually reminds me of "Eye Spy".

Leeb is prolific to say the least. I LOVE his Delerium records, especially Poem and Kharma. If you like Deep Forest, Enigma, and other artist in that genre defintely take a look at Delerium. Supposedly Leeb abd Fulber are hooking up again and are working on another Delerium album...

By sounding over produced do you mean because Epitaph so multilayered? Thanks for the link Inu, looks like some cool stuff.

I love Frontline Assembly, but in some respects their earlier stuff (State of Mind, Tactical Neural Implant) is more varied. I like Epitaph and all, but it might as well be FLAvour of the Weak Part II... Delerium's Poem is also nearly identical to Karma in many respects. And while I really like a lot of the more melodic elements Leeb incorporates into the electro- industrial template, I can't help but take issue with his blatant sampling of Warp artists and such. I mean, "Dead Planet" has the most utterly OBVIOUS sampling of an Autechre song ("Caliper Remote" in this case) I've ever heard!

Not to mention that the guy is an absolute prick. (For instance, several years ago, when he was supposed to appear in Chicago, he cancelled the show for no reason other than he felt he "didn't owe the fans anything.")

I still really like FLA and Delerium, though :) I certainly wouldn't turn down a chance to see either of them in concert!

Oh, and I managed to see Juno Reactor at the Chicago Metro when they played there about a year ago... an utterly FANTASTIC show, to say the least!

Hey Barb, what is your favorite Enigma album? I'm interested in getting some more of thier music. Right now I've been listening to The Cross of Changes. Have you heard Bowie's new album Heathen yet? Its pretty good but I think Hours was better.

Brian, I had no idea about all that stuff about Leeb. Still, it doesn't detract from the skill shown in his music. As I mentioned above I saw Juno Reactor almost a year ago now. They really were amazing. What kind of stuff are you guy listening too lately? Other then Bowie I've been checking out Sade's older stuff.

Maybe we should start a new thread on this ;) But while I love all kinds of music in general, the music I listen to most often is electronic, ambient and industrial. These days I'm listening to a guy named Virt more than anything else; he's an online musician who's a friend of mine who does utterly FANTASTIC music in every genre, and has also been working with video game soundtracks for some time (his "Shantae" soundtrack makes the most insanely cool usage of the Gameboy sound hardware I've ever heard!). I've also been listening to Bola and Global Communication (electronic ambient/IDM groups), Fila Brazillia (an utterly FANTASTIC fusion of modern electronic music and 70s funk/soul/jazz), Snog, Wumpscut and FLA (electronic-industrial groups), Portishead, Public Enemy, RS3 (another online musician who does great experimental electronic), and µ-Ziq (another odd electronic group). That's just my current line of preference, though - my daily regimen of music changes constantly and drastically, and I love all different kinds of music... which is why my music collection has gotten to almost 12,000 songs :D

Also, if anybody's interested, I write music myself with various computer software... my stuff is here if you want to listen to it and give me some feedback. :D

I'll defintely be checking out some of those groups you listed Brian. Its always nice to talk to someone who really cares about music, but then I shouldn't be surprised that people on the Aeon Flux forum are a step ahead of the mainstream.

Lately I've been listening to Sade and David Bowie as I mentioned before. Other then that I've been listening to N.E.R.D., VNV Nation, Nusrat (Pakistani music), Underworld, Frontline Assembly, and a few others but like you my tastes change day to day. I'm downloading some of the mp3's off your site and will get back to you when I've listened to enough of them to give you a worthwhile review!

By the way, have you heard of Ipecac Loop? Its electronic/experimental and I think it would be right up your ally. Check it out at www.forcedevolution.com This guy is one of the best electronic acts going in my opinion along with Splattercell.
