read a brief comparison of the 2000 and 3000 over at photo.net here. keep in mind that the 3000N also has "E-TTL flash and comes in a silver paint job, unlike the 3000. It also has AEB, a night idiot mode and manual focus point selection."

i see you've learned about caps lock off, now maybe next time we could keep two same threads together in a single one. oooh -- what a posh idea! :)

From the pictures and specs I have read, the older EOS 3000 was the same (or nearly the same) as the earlier Rebel X, which was also called the EOS 500 at the time.

The newer EOS 3000N is the same (or nearly the same) as the former Rebel G, which was also called the EOS 500N.

The new Rebel 2000 is the same camera as the EOS 300. It is definitly the better camera, but the battery is smaller and doesn't last as long. This whole line of developing cameras has gradually become a little easier to operate while adding a few more features.

with the battery pack BP 200 for EOS 300/ Rebel 2000 and a new set of 4 alkaline batteries, the one can shoot 110 films of 24 exposure at +20 degrees and no flash.
