Carfts to make and sell

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

Just got back from my weekly trip to Wal-Mart and just had to share with you a couple of the neat things I found to make, that I'm going to sell at my craft shows. I bought a package of four white bunnies that have gingam ears and bow ties to match. They are in a pkg. of four for $2.96. I will hot glue pins on the back. These sell for $2.95 each. I made and sold these last year at Easter time. They were a good seller. I found them on an end cap with other easter/spring dec. items. On the same end cap I found packaged wooden ladybugs. I got packages of larger ladybugs (they had wooden leaves in the pkg.too) that I will hot glue pins on the back of and sell these for $1.50 or $1.95 (haven't decided yet). And I found pkgs. of smaller ladybugs in asst. sizes. Not sure what I will do with all of them, but I found little galvinized (?) buckets around the corner for $1.00 that I think I'll paint some type of leaves and vines on (something simple because I'm not the world's greatest painter) and them glue the smallest lady bugs on the bucket. If you read my post yesterday, you found out how I learn to paint something new. Think I'll try that technic when I paint the buckets. Maybe I'll find a little wooden porch box to paint some flowers or something on and glue some ladybugs on them. I have no idea what I'll do with all of them. But what I will do is let them sit in a place where I'll see them several times a day which keeps them on my mind and something will come to me. If any of you have any ideas, let me know!
