Susan in Minnesota, I thought of your dilema while making this timesaver.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread

I took a piece of white poster board and marked it off in columns (7 across with 48 lines down. I also made a list of all the household and outside chores on a seperate sheet mounted to one side of the "24/7 , 1/2 hour division schedule grid. Then I mounted the grid and list in a large picture frame that now hangs on my office wall. I allot a time sequence for everything using dry erase markers on the glass (red for agricultural chores, green for household, blue for personal). As it is completed, it gets cleaned off. If it takes more than the allotted time, personal time gets used (My laundry cut into my internet time last night at 6:30, so I decided to cut my sleep time for the internet, so here I am up at 3:00 instead of 3:45 to get my "dotcom fix" :>)

Jay are you really this organized! I think all my life I have fought with getting structured. It is looking like I may just have to give into the creature of habit personality within me and get organized.

Thanks! I am slowly coming up with an idea based on all the input I had from the forum.

Hey there ms. susan & all,

give flylady.net, it lets you get in computer time while getting coached in orginization! it's a bit 'consumerist' but otherwise it is sound anti- procrastination for life training. free to use no products/books to buy just more of a 'city' outlook than we have. aimed at women but i see no reason that the 'stay/work at home male' couldn't benefit.
