Hadn't noticed you posting for a while. I hope everything is OK there and you aren't snowed/iced in like last year. Are you liking living in the house now? Just wondered...

Hello Melissa,

Thanks for paying attention! I have been pulling out of a depression due to winter weather, being unemployed and the such. Now that February is here things will start to get better. Work is hard to find in the winter and now I hope that it will pick up again.

The good news is that Melitza is pregnant! She will be expecting around September 14th! She had been vomiting for a couple of weeks, so we went to the doctor last week and she tested positive! We are excited and are making plans to expand our new house as soon as we finish up the main part.

Since we had no money to work with we pretty much quit working on the interior of the house. We are still using extension cords for our electricity but, the wiring is almost finished. I will finish it as soon as I start working again. I have been installing the sheetrock and paneling but, can not complete it until I am sure that all the wiring is correct.

I spend the extra free time I have right now, writing. I have several projects that I want to publish just as soon as I can finish them and submit them to publishers. I have a fine article that I will submit to CS and/or BWH on building my house. I have another article that I am writing about my father, plus I have an extensive journal of the events that have taken place since our move to the Ozarks. These things keep me busy.

Anyway, not to worry, we are all fine. I spent the day cutting firewood, (a rick). And then I helped Melitza clean up the house. Tomorrow, I will run down to the Trout Farm, which is just twelve miles from our house and apply for a cooking position. I had worked for them last year for a spell and I am sure that now that they are hiring for the tourist season that I will get to work for them again.

Sincerely,

Ernest

Good news Ernest about the baby. I hope things work out on the job front too. Too, too many winters we have had the same trouble. NO construction work and no money. Going 3 months without a pay is just awful and really tests a person and a marriage, that is for sure. But we always had food on the table, and things have always worked out thankfully. Tell Melitza to take care, and I hope she is feeling better soon.
