Festus is a gelded miniature hinney about five years of age. He needs a good home with someone who can spend more time with him than I can. He is very skittish but I'm sure someone with more horse sense than I have can work with him. Offer or interesting trade

marcee, there is a good thread on that question in this forum. From the main threads header page, page down until you get to -Older Messages by category, click exotic animals then click -mules, donkeys and burros. I know I cant explain any better than that discussion. Festus looks just like a miniature horse except for the dorsal markings and striping of a donkey.

I have a mare hinny! Hinnies are the cross of stallion horse and mare donkey instead of the more traditional stallion donkey and mare horse. Lots more horsey looking and mine is skittish too. VERY lovely. I just wanna hug her... I have to build a round pen to be able to break her to touch I'm afraid. Good luck!
