If you took her outside :) she would at this age pick up a few leaves or some grass, but milk is the most important thing at this age. In a few more weeks she may nibble at some hay, I do put out my goat grain at 4 weeks, but its just to get them used to it. By 6 weeks I would call it eating, by 8 weeks they are little piggys. Because of the browse we have, my baby goats have never been much hay eaters. Once weaned at 12 weeks (and honestly if I have the milk they can drink from the Lambar for many many months) they are eating 1 pound of grain a day and really munching the hay! vicki

I was up every two hours with my first baby, but wouldn't do it for a goat;) My "house babies" slept through the night from the start without fussing. I bottled them before I went to bed, and first thing in the morning. (four times a day at first, three when their milk consumption picked up.) Thank goodness they're all in the barn now. Good luck with your little darlin. Try to bear in mind, when you let her get away with stuff like jumping up, how big she will be when she's grown.
