screnn scrolls up really fast. The video is in widescreen format, the DVD is a Philips DVD951 and says under the specifications...VCD, Vertical hold240 lines (NTSC/60Hrz)...it plays in win media player(xp)

Your Philips is a PAL player and the VCD is intended for NTSC playback; most important your TV is just single system PAL so it scrolls. Tough.
