Tiny seed dispencer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I was just doing my annual kitchen cleanup, the one where you go through everything, chunk out what you have not touched within a year; except any of my cast iron pieces, 48 at last count. I found 2 empty spice containers, one was one of those short little ones about the size of a spool of thread. I noticed it had a rotating type cap with holes and/or a slot that could be enlarged by rotating the cap. Having inventoried my seed collection earlier in the day, I scraficed some old collard seeds, their tiny and round. The spice container worked excllently. I did need to put a strip of tape across the top to keep the hole size correct during handleing.

Excellent idea, this would be great for lettuce or carrot seeds, I am certainly going to try it.

Readers, Donna is on the other side of this mountain, (oversized hill). The next palindrone date will be 110 years, mark your calendars, see you then!!?
