What makes this especially funny is that it is a SERIOUS fashion design which was displayed at an Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris!

Serious? Ahem! In a sense, perhaps.

Long ago, fashion designers discovered that the newspapers were a lot more likely to print pictures of really stupid, outlandish, idiotic clothes than anything actually meant to be bought and worn in public. So they graciously oblige the media. That picture IS free publicity, after all. That is the ONLY thing that YSL takes seriously about this particular clothing design - it keeps his name in the papers.
