Is that the same cat that Cambodian dude cooked and burned down his village?

I can't help it. I try to be a Manly Man, but I'm a 100% certified Kitty Kat Lover. Louis Wu and Mikey reduce me to making silly noises and giving free backrubs from the minute I get home in the evenings. :)

Cat Found Near Death With Legs Cut Off
Reward Offered For Information On Alleged Animal Abusers
Posted: 7:15 p.m. EST February 6, 2002
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Officials are investigating a horrible case of animal cruelty in West Palm Beach.
Investigators said that a cat was found with her two front two legs cut off, left for dead in a ditch nearly two weeks ago.
The calls keep coming in by people concerned about a cat whose legs were chopped off.
"The person who did this is probably a child abuser," said Joann Maguire, who came in to Paws 2 Help to donate money to help the cat. "Anybody that would cut an animals paws off ... My God, what can that person be?"
Deborah Peterson, who said she found the feline in a drainage ditch behind her office on Forest Hill Boulevard, brought the cat to Paws 2 Help.
"(My first reaction was) just shock, horrified," Peterson said. "I didn't know how any poor animal could survive like this with those injuries. It was just terrible."
The people at Paws 2 Help called in their veterinarians, who looked the cat over, and sedated her so she would be more comfortable.
The veterinarians are planning surgery for Friday.
"What we're going to attempt to do is repair the limb as best we can so the animal will be able to get around on it comfortably and pain-free," veterinarian Dr. Eric Schnirman said.
Police are investigating the incident.
"What the Sheriff office said is they can see someone held the front paws and someone held the back paws," Eve Vanengel, of Paws 2 Help, said. "More than one person was involved, and they used a chopper to chop the legs off. I've seen abused animals, I don't know what justice there is, but something needs to be done."
People with information on the animal abuse case are urged to call the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. A reward is being offered for an arrest and conviction.
People who would like to donate money to increase the reward can go by any Fidelity Federal Bank and contribute to the PAWS fund. The account number is 7140031763.

Millions of Chocolate Bunnies Perish in Blaze
Fri Feb 8,10:14 AM ET
ZURICH (Reuters) - A fire in a Swiss warehouse destroyed between 3.5 and four million Easter chocolate bunnies, Swiss retail chain Migros said on Friday.
The fire swept a central distribution warehouse containing nearly half of the total output needed to cover demand at Migros, Switzerland's largest retailer.
Suppliers Chocolat Frey and Migros's Midor have cranked up production, pledging to manufacture the bunnies "around the clock, seven days a week, through March 28."
