Kodak Wratten no of contrast filters

Hi:

Does anyone know the Kodak Wratten number of Ilfords contrast filters especially gradefilter 00 and 5 ?

Although I can't answer your question as to how the Wratten system corresponds to Ilford's contrast filters, I do know of a web page with some technical data on Wratten filters. Perhaps it will help: The Wratten System Explained.

AFAIK, there is no set of Wratten filters that matches a set of VC filters. You could certainly find a group of Wrattens that would allow VC printing, but not with even steps and matched exposures. VC filters are really made just for that purpose and even though everybody uses Ilford and Kodak filters interchangably, they aren't identical. Also, they tend to fade, especially the higher contrast numbers. They should be replaced with a new set every few years.
