any suggestions on where to buy an EOS 3?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I finally have the money saved up to buy an EOS 3 and the 100-400 4.5-5.6 IS L (upgrading from A2 and Sigma 70-300!), but not sure where to buy from. This is going to be a big sale, at least for me, and I want to buy from somewhere reputable. I've been looking at B&H, Tri-State Camera, Camera World, and Abes of Maine.

Any suggestions on who is the most trustworthy and reliable?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

i'd have to cast my vote for b&h for the exellent experiences i have had with them in the past. they advertise their true prices and don't charge insane shipping fees. good luck!

I agree with Jeff, B&H has been dad burn good to me for the last 10 years. I can't say the same for several other NY Photo joints. Unfortunately, the EOS 3 has been out of stock for some time.

I agree - B&H is the best way to go. Excellent service and the best shipping rates. They currently have the EOS 3 in stock.

Go with B&H. I've not dealt with anyone else in many years. I "tried" to order from Abe's about 3 years ago because their advertised prices were lower than B&H. Unfortunately, they gave me a shipping charge of $90 on a camera body with one lens. I hung up, called B&H and got the camera and lens for about the same as Abe's wanted with the shipping included. I also had the equipment in my hand in 3 days through Fed Ex. I don't know how Abe's planned on sending the equipment. For $90, I would expect Abe to bring it to me personally.
