Making 100" projection TV

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi guys

This entire projection TV stuff excites me. But I have a few basic questions before i start making one m'self. 1. what about channel surfing? how do i point the damn remote control at the tv when it sits inside the box? 2. i have an old '70s agfa slide projector lens. can i use this to make my TV projector lens? 3. will poking all those wires thro' the back of the projector to the TV make it difficult to watch my fav' movies on vcd or cable TV? appreciate it if anyone of u guys could throw some light here

ciao bob

This used to be a cheap way of projection TV in the 70s but if it DOES excite you that much better save about US$2300 instead and get a Sony Cineza VPL-HS1.
