Found a new use for my "little red wagon" (Homestead timesavers)

Now when I do my weekly house cleaning, I pull the old radio flyer with me from room to room. I put a bucket with all my cleaning supplies and my vacuum in it and as I move through the seven rooms, I put trash in the bucket, clean and dust. Any thing that doesn't belong in a room goes on the wagon and gets put up when I hit the correct room. I used this technique today to completly clean my shack in 25 minutes. I will never again feel like I have to "shovel the hovel" again.

Wow Jay! If I give my housekeeper a little red wagon and she gets it all done in 25 minutes, I gonna save myself a bunch of money- hmmmm. Nifty idea. Heres another.... my friend with 51 acres, bought a used gas powered golf cart. Using the cart, he feeds the goats, checks fence lines, checks on water troughs, goes to the mailbox and a host of other chores. He has been running on the same gas he put in it 7 months ago. It sure does come in handy when it's really cold. Of course, no exercise either, and his grandchildren run the wheels off of it when they visit. When/if I ever get the space, a golf cart will be a priority. It makes everything so much easier to get done in a whole lot less time.

Jay, A seven room shack??? Must be nice. I'll be happy when I get my one room built! :)

One of the seven is the attached greenhouse.

Jay you want to come clean my house? I have too much on the floor to be able to get a wagon through. It's a great idea though! Maybe one day I'll be able to make house cleaning a really regular part of my day. My favorite bumper sticker I saw once was:

A Clean House Is A Sign Of A Misspent Life!

Good for you Jay, If is nice to know a man who can clean-up after himself.

Buy a "shotgun house" to ease the cleaning. You staert at the front door and shovel the hovel out the back door. :>)

Hello Jay,

We bought a red flyer for our daughter for Christmas. I must say that we probably use it more than she does. One of the handiest things for pulling firewood through the house from the porch to the woodstove!

Sincerely,

Ernest
