Where to find bobbins for antique sewing maching?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

I have a 1927 White electric sewing machine. It came with 2 bobbins, and I need to find more. Any suggestions?

Have you checked to see if the company has a web site? Do a search. Also, check www.sewingworld.com. In that site, you may have to wander to "discuss" which is a forum. I don't know where you'd want to post that question...maybe Q&A. There is also www.sew-what's-new.com BE CERTAIN to type it in that way! Without the hyphens takes you to a porn site!

I hope this helps you. By the way, what brand is it?

I wasn't paying attention too well, was I? You said it is a White. I didn't realize that White was in business then. BTW, did you find a source yet?

Try Ebay, they have all sorts of things for old sewing machines.

Check with local sewing machine store (not the fabric stores) and see if they can order supplies for you.

Also check at small or large sewing machine musems especially if they also repair antique sewing machines.

Do a search using Google.com for "+antique+sewing+machine+supplies"
