I have encoded the VCD and now I have to burn it.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have encoded it ( all of 6 and a half hours) and then it says that the medium is too small for the vcd file! I am using nero 5.5 and I would like to know how to split the file without haveing to re-encode. If this is not possible then I would like to know how to get a new program that would do this. Thank you very much

No burning program can split your video files for you. TMPGenc (www.tmpgenc.com) has a very ugly and simple editor you can use to split the files. You could buy a commercial editor of some kind to do the split. Another option would be to consider buring to 90 or 99 minute CD-Rs with the understanding that many burners do not support these non-standard sizes and even if you can burn it, you may have trouble playing it back.

You can use Easy Video Splitter which is free and easy to use to split your video in as many part as you want
