VCD Encodeing and burning

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

First I must say that this is a very good forum, I enjoy it very much and get a few problems resolved that I am having trouble with. Sorry if this question is repetitive but couldent find a answer. I download videos in .avi format and have them sitting on my computer. I would like to know how to encode and bur VCD's so I can play them on my Philips home DVD player. I have played them before on it when they have been burned and they work fine but when I try to do it using some knock off encoder I got from Download.com and bur in using Roxio I get the prompt on my DVD player. MP3 file not found. I would like to know how to burn VCD's and encode them so that I can watch them at home. I just need the name of an encoder and a way to burn. Thank you very much

Try TMPGEnc

And STOP using Easy CD/Roxio. Try Nero instead.
