i have read about people play all formats of disc on the wharfedale 750, but mine want have it. any one have any ideas, why my one dont play them

I have a 750 and haven't tried regions 3-6 but i can play 1 & 2, i did this by:

Change to region one Place the R1 disc onto the try, but don't close the tray. Press 0 1 2 3 Press Play - not enter - Play The disc will insert itself and play region one

To change it back to R2 Place the R2 disc onto the try, but don't close the tray. Press 0 1 2 3 Press Enter - not play - Enter The disc will revert the DVD player back to R2
