Phyllis, take a look at the yesterdays tractors website and see if you can sell it there, too.

Its over priced, around here the same goes for $1500.00. Around here an 8 N is a lawn ornament, too small, under powered, yuppie bait.

mitch, don't know where you are but around here that would be a cheap price.

I agree Diane,I go to alot of farm and machinery auctions and the 8N in the condition described would bring that price, its amazing how those tractors hold their value compared to other tractors.

Phyllis:

To determine year look for the serial # (on left-hand side of the engine block). 1-37907 - 47, 37908-141370 - 48, 141371-245637 - 49, 245638-343593 - 50, 343594-442035 - 51, 442036-540030 - 52, 540030- up - 53. The Ford 9N (39-43) and 8N (47-53) put many a horse and mule in retirement. However, Ford 8N had a bad reputation for not holding brakes.

Depending on body condition that price would be a bit high for this area, but still reasonable. Remember something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.
